Brandi grew up in Indiana where she played soccer and attended Indiana Wesleyan University. After college, she married her high school sweetheart, Brandon.  In 2008 they followed her family’s lead and moved to Texas. They have two children, Benjamin and Brooklyn, who keep life busy with sports, school, and mischief.

Brandi is passionate about second chances and the power of God’s redeeming love! She was a high school English teacher for 16 years where she was blessed by the lives of thousands of students. She also spent years working with underprivileged youth, mentoring incarcerated youth, and she even joined the Peace Corps for a short time to work in a group home for boys.  Through all these experiences, God showed her that there is no such thing as a lost cause.  God’s love can truly conquer all!

What is Your Favorite Book?

Honestly, there are so, so many!  If I had to narrow it down, I would choose The Kite Runner because it is a beautiful story of the power of forgiveness, and the importance of hope.

What is your favorite food?

Ice cream. Everyday.

What do you love most about being on staff at The Table?

I love the people most! The staff is a wonderful example of how God’s family should operate.  There is a lot of laughter, but also a great deal of discussion about how to love people well.  I also love that I get a glimpse of God at work in the lives of families.  My favorite part of a Sunday morning is getting to see all the kids’ sweet faces as they enter the building and as they engage in a Bible lesson.
